Only four KSA-licensed casinos took a €5 iDEAL payment when we last ran money through their cashiers: TOTO, bet365, ComeOn and 711. The rest of the roughly 30 legal brands mostly start at €10, and a handful of comparison sites still list casinos at €5 that quietly raised their floor months ago. Below: the real minimum per payment method, how a €5 iDEAL deposit goes through, what iDEAL | Wero changes, how far five euros stretches, and whether a small win comes home without a top-up.

“The homepage minimum is the least useful number on the site. Look at the minimum next to the payment method you’ll actually use, then at the minimum you can withdraw. I’ve tested ‘€5 casinos’ where the card cashier wanted €10, and €5 deposits that wouldn’t pay out until the balance hit €20.”
TOTO, bet365, ComeOn and 711 took our €5 iDEAL payment on the last round of testing. On the licensing side they’re identical: KSA licence, CRUKS check at login, payouts to your own IBAN. The real differences show up in the backup payment options, the product mix and how fast a small win lands back in your bank.
| Casino | Min. iDEAL Deposit | Other €5 Options | Typical Payout Time | Bonus on €5? | Best Fit If You… |
| TOTO Casino | €5 | – | 1–2 business days | Usually no | Want a Dutch-owned operator and one login shared with Staatsloterij |
| bet365 | €5 | Debit card | Often within 24 hours | Usually no | Split a small bankroll between slots and sports |
| ComeOn | €5 | Trustly, debit card | 1–2 business days | Usually no | Bank somewhere iDEAL doesn’t reach |
| 711 | €5 | Debit card | 1–2 business days | Usually no | Prefer a tight lobby to scrolling through thousands of titles |
Players who want their first fiver parked with a Dutch operator should start here. Nederlandse Loterij owns TOTO, the licence was renewed in the 1 October round, and your existing Staatsloterij or Lotto login gets you in. The catch is the library: it leans on big providers, so niche-studio hunters run dry sooner than at Unibet or LeoVegas.
Your €5 goes into one balance that covers both the casino and the sportsbook. On a fiver, skipping a second wallet matters. Our IBAN withdrawals frequently arrived within 24 hours, which beats the 1–2 days we clocked at the other €5 brands. Slot regulars should know the casino side has fewer exclusive titles than casino-first operators.
Expats banking abroad usually can’t touch iDEAL, and ComeOn is the €5 brand that still lets them in via Trustly or a debit card. That’s its clearest edge over TOTO. Read the promo terms on their own, though, because the qualifying deposit for offers sits well above the €5 the cashier happily takes.
If massive lobbies make your eyes glaze over, 711’s shorter list is a relief. Debit cards sit next to iDEAL at the same €5 minimum. It’s a smaller player in the market, so expect fewer low-limit live tables than the big names run.
They’re outliers. Of roughly 30 KSA-licensed operators, just four accepted €5 by iDEAL when we checked, and most of the pack sits at €10. You’ll still find competitor lists showing Casino 777 and JACKS.NL at €5. When we tried, both cashiers rejected anything under €10.

| 711 | €5 | Debit card | Bank transfer | Casino + sports |
| GGPoker | €1 | – | Bank transfer | Poker only |
| Unibet | €10 | Trustly, debit card | Bank transfer | Casino + sports + poker |
| Holland Casino Online | €10 | PayPal | Bank transfer or PayPal | Casino |
| JACKS.NL | €10 | PayPal, debit card | Bank transfer | Casino |
| Casino 777 | €10 | – | Bank transfer | Casino |

| LeoVegas | €10 | Trustly | Bank transfer | Casino + sports |
| Circus Casino | €10 | PayPal, debit card | Bank transfer | Casino + sports |
| BetMGM | €10 | Trustly | Bank transfer | Casino + sports |
| Betnation | €10 | – | Bank transfer | Casino + sports |
Full reviews of each licensed brand live on our online casinos in the Netherlands page, and we refresh them after every KSA licence round.
The payment takes under a minute, but the account setup in front of it doesn’t. Dutch law wants your identity verified and a personal deposit limit set before a single euro goes in, so give yourself about 10 minutes on a first visit.
That first iDEAL payment also ties your IBAN to the account. Withdrawals return to the same IBAN, so paying from your partner’s account and cashing out to yours won’t work.
For now, not much. iDEAL is being rolled into Wero, the European Payments Initiative’s system, so the “iDEAL | Wero” label is popping up more often in casino cashiers and banking apps. You still approve the payment in your app, and the €5 minimums haven’t moved. Wero’s extras, mainly cross-border payments and transfers by phone number, come later. Whether licensed casinos will take Wero beyond the Dutch iDEAL flow is still undecided, so keep an eye on our iDEAL casinos page.
Usually not a cent. Dutch banks don’t charge consumers for iDEAL, and the four €5 casinos swallow their own transaction fee. The exception is paying from a non-euro account, where your bank’s conversion fee bites into the fiver.
iDEAL, on both cost and safety. With iDEAL, Trustly and PayPal you approve each payment in your own app or account, so the casino doesn’t see your bank login. A debit card hands the operator your card number, while Paysafecard shares nothing but barely shows up at licensed sites. iDEAL also lands in seconds and hits the €5 floor at more brands than any rival method.
| Method | Lowest Minimum Seen at KSA Sites | Deposit Speed | Withdrawals | Fees for You |
| iDEAL / iDEAL | Wero | €5 | Instant | No, payouts go by bank transfer | Usually none |
| Trustly | €5–€10 | Instant to 1 day | Yes, 1–2 days | Usually none |
| Debit card | €5–€10 | Instant | Yes, 1–3 days | Usually none |
| PayPal | €10 | Instant | Yes, often under 24 hours | Usually none in EUR |
| Paysafecard | €10 where offered | Instant | No | Possible inactivity fees |
Mind the gap between the banner and the cashier. One brand can take €5 by iDEAL and still demand €10 by card, so the player who taps “card” pays double the advertised floor without noticing. And PayPal fans are out of luck: none of the licensed brands we tested let PayPal in at €5.
It comes down to cost per customer. Operators pay a fixed fee on each iDEAL transaction, often a few tens of cents, on top of ID checks, CRUKS lookups and the duty-of-care monitoring Dutch law requires for each player. On a €5 deposit that overhead takes a real bite, which is why most brands settle on €10.
The four €5 brands eat the cost for their own reasons. TOTO and bet365 run big sportsbooks, where a small deposit often turns into a regular betting customer. ComeOn and 711 use the lower floor to stand out in a crowded market. These are commercial decisions, not legal requirements, so any of them can lift the minimum overnight.
Rarely. Licensed Dutch welcome offers usually want a €10 or €20 qualifying deposit, even at casinos whose cashier takes €5. Those “deposit €5, get free spins” ads you see are typically offshore sites or campaigns aimed at other countries.
Some licensed brands do run free-spin deals for existing players, now and then with a low entry deposit. They arrive as personal account offers, since untargeted gambling ads have been banned in the Netherlands since July 2023. A “€5 free spins” promo in your social feed that skips age targeting or links to a site missing from the Kansspelwijzer is a red flag that the sender isn’t licensed.
Run the numbers on a typical deal: €5 in bonus money at 30x wagering means €150 in bets before you can withdraw. At €0.10 a spin that’s 1,500 spins. On a 96% RTP slot, the expected loss over that volume is about €6, more than the bonus itself.
With a €5 bankroll, saying no to the bonus is often the smarter play, because anything you win can go straight to your bank. Current legal offers are listed on our Dutch casino bonuses page.
Yes, and at licensed casinos you usually don’t need to top up first. Payouts go by bank transfer to the IBAN you deposited from, generally within 1–2 business days, with ID already checked at sign-up. Withdrawal minimums differ per operator, so check them against the deposit minimum before you register.
| Question | Licensed €5 Casino | Offshore Low-Deposit Site |
| Minimum withdrawal | Often low; check the cashier | Often €20–€50 |
| Where the money goes | Your own IBAN | Sometimes crypto or e-wallet only |
| Verification | Done before your first deposit | Often demanded at withdrawal |
| Tax on winnings | None for you; the operator pays 37.8% gambling tax on its gross gaming revenue | Yours to declare |
| Dispute route | Dutch dispute body named in the terms | Foreign regulator, if there is one |
Here’s how it plays out. You deposit €5, run it up to €18 and hit withdraw. At a licensed brand with a low withdrawal floor, that €18 is in your account within a couple of days. At a site with a €30 minimum you either keep spinning or reload, and both roads usually end with less money.
Mostly slots. The popular titles at Dutch casinos start at €0.10 a spin, which buys you roughly 50 spins before any wins. Live tables open at €0.50 to €5 a hand, and that can wipe out a €5 balance in anywhere from one to ten rounds.
| Game Type | Typical Minimum Bet | Rounds From €5 | Realistic Session |
| Low-stake slots | €0.10 | 50 spins | Roughly 10–20 minutes |
| Slots at €0.20 | €0.20 | 25 spins | Roughly 5–10 minutes |
| Live roulette | €0.50 | 10 bets | A few minutes |
| Live blackjack | €1–€5 | 1–5 hands | One or two minutes |
| Sports bet | €0.10–€1 | 5–50 bets | Depends on event timing |
Low-volatility slots drip out small wins often, so they keep a €5 balance breathing longer than high-volatility games, which can go 100+ spins without anything worth mentioning. RTP counts too. Some licensed casinos run a lower-RTP version of the same game, 94% instead of 96% for example. Open the info panel before your first spin and check which one you’ve got.
If live tables are your thing, €5 won’t buy a real session. RNG roulette and blackjack often take €0.10–€0.50 bets, giving you far more rounds for the same money. Players set on a live dealer usually get better value starting at €10 or €20.
At bet365, TOTO and ComeOn, the same €5 works in the sportsbook. Minimum stakes there often run €0.10–€1, so one deposit can cover a few small bets alongside a handful of spins.
A €5 casino makes sense if you’re trying out a new brand, learning a game or sticking to a strict weekly budget. Want a welcome offer or regular live play? Then €10–€20 usually gets you more for the money.
Yes, provided the brand holds a KSA licence; how much you deposit has nothing to do with safety. Checking takes under a minute in the Kansspelwijzer register on the KSA website. Search the brand name and make sure the domain you’re on matches.
Pages pushing “€5 casinos without CRUKS” lead to sites licensed in Curaçao, Anjouan or somewhere similar. Those operators aren’t allowed to take Dutch players, they skip the deposit thresholds and CRUKS checks, and they leave you to declare winnings to the Belastingdienst yourself. If something goes wrong, there’s no Dutch body to complain to.
Lock your personal deposit limit to your real budget, say €20 a week, during sign-up. On top of that, Dutch law sets a monthly net deposit threshold of €700 for players aged 24+ and €300 for 18–23-year-olds. Cross it and you’ll face an affordability check, and switching payment methods doesn’t reset the count, since it’s tracked per casino account.
Five €5 top-ups in one evening is €25, and it won’t feel like it. A 30–60 minute session limit plus a loss limit equal to your deposit will catch that early. You can block yourself from licensed casinos for at least six months at cruksregister.nl with DigiD, and Loket Kansspel (loketkansspel.nl) gives free, anonymous advice, in English too.
| Deposit | Licensed Options | Bonus Access | Best For |
| €1 | GGPoker only (poker) | No | Poker players trying the tables |
| €5 | TOTO, bet365, ComeOn, 711 | Rarely | Testing a casino on minimal spend |
| €10 | Most licensed brands | Sometimes | Wider choice, PayPal access |
| €20 | Practically the whole market | Usually | Welcome offers and live tables |

For a €5 iDEAL start, TOTO is the no-brainer and bet365 the quickest to pay. ComeOn covers players without a Dutch bank, and 711 suits anyone who’d rather browse a short lobby. If a welcome offer or PayPal matters more to you than saving five euros, start at €10 with a brand like Holland Casino Online.
